Ms. Jackie Holden
Senior Director, Program Information, Management and Analysis Division, Seniors and Pension Policy Secretariat, Employment and Social Development Canada
In January 2015, Jackie Holden was appointed Senior Director of the Program Information, Management and Analysis Division in the Seniors and Pensions Policy Secretariat in Employment and Social Development Canada. She also is the Acting Director of the Seniors Policy Division. The Seniors and Pensions Policy Secretariat is the federal focal point for policy development and engagement activities related to public pensions and the well-being of seniors.
Ms. Holden has been in the federal public service in Canada for 26 years, principally in social and economic policy and program roles. Prior to the Seniors and Pensions Policy Secretariat, she held a variety of progressively more senior positions with the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Privy Council Office, and the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, as well as within Employment and Social Development Canada. In these positions, she was responsible for strategic advice and policy analysis on a wide range of issues including development of an agricultural policy framework, immigrant settlement and integration, privacy and access to information. Intergovernmental and international work was part of these responsibilities.
Ms. Holden holds a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from Carleton University.
