The IFA is pleased to announce that Ms Hazel McCallion will be in attendance at the Conference on 9 August 2018, to take part in the morning keynote session.

A highly successful politician and businesswoman, Ms McCallion is the former Mayor of Mississauga, Canada, a position which she held for twelve consecutive terms, from 1978 until 2014 – making her the longest-serving mayor in the history of the city.

Currently Ms McCallion serves as the Chief Elder Officer for Revera Inc., a position she was appointed to in 2015. As Chief Elder Officer, Ms McCallion provides advice and counsel to the Revera leadership team, in support of fulfilling the company’s vision to celebrate the ageless spirit of people.

In addition to her position at Revera, Ms McCallion serves as special advisor to the University of Toronto Mississauga and as the first Chancellor of Sheridan College.

In 2016, the Province of Ontario officially designated February 14 as Hazel McCallion Day in honour of Ms McCallion’s birthday and in recognition of her years of service.
